Job Description

Title: Budget/Expense Coordinator
Job ID: 19-00009 (694983)
Location: Plano, TX
Pay Rate: $28-$34/hr

Shift: 1st Shift
Budget/Forecast/Accounting Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and update Annual Budget and Quarterly Forecasts using Excel template and Hyperion Smart View retrieve
  • Quarterly forecasts (June, September, December)
  • Annual Budgets (January – February)
  • Track vendor scheduled payments monthly (including approvals for deliverable or time/materials)
  • Submit appropriate monthly and annual accruals, approved by Manager and/or CPO
  • Review Invoices for payment in Coupa, track against approved P.O.s to monitor sufficient balances
  • Monitor monthly variance against Budget
  • Research expenses within monthly Hyperion retrieves
  • Prepare JVs (journal entries) and submit to Accounting/Budget team
  • Communicate expected financial impact to Connected Technologies Managers / CPOs and Accounting/Budget team for changes between forecasts
  • Provide cost estimates for long-range forecasts to Strategic Planning team
  • Prepare company leased car report annually
Statement of Work/Vendor Payment Responsibilities:
  • Review contracts to understand impact to budget
  • Verify SOW fee tables for accuracy and prepare SOW scheduled payment worksheets to accompany purchase requisitions
  • Communicate with Accounting/Budget and Contracts teams
  • Communicate with vendor representatives
Job Request Number (JRN) Tracking Responsibilities:
  • Monitor expenses for JRN related Purchase Orders
  • Prepare and submit monthly JRN invoicing to include hours and dollars submitted from CPO
  • Confirm Job Completion reports for each JRN
  • Exceptional ability with Excel, including pivot tables and spreadsheet forecasting
  • 3+ years accounting or budget experience
  • Experience with Hyperion preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
General Skills and Experience:
  • General understanding of accounting concepts, including accruals and budgeting
  • Familiarity with contracts to obtain relevant data, such as amounts and due dates
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative mentality
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting/Business OR equivalent experience
