Title: Budget Support Analyst (18-00465)
Location: Warren, MI

Shift: 1st Shift
Manager Specifications:
  • Support budget tracking activities to provide GM's management an accurate forecast of spending and commitments. 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate capital procurement activities related to:
    • Analyze, evaluate, develop, and create annual capital plan
    • Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of R&D Capital process; eliminate non-value added activities
  • Coordinate and track contracts
  • Track all lab monthly budget capital commitments and spending
  • Assist in resolution of contractual issues (i.e. supplier payments, invoice issues, etc.)
  • Implement common capital planning processes within Global R&D
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key customers/suppliers (i.e. Lab Group Directors/Managers, Finance, Capital, Purchasing, etc.)
  • Assist with organizational documentation
  • Perform special projects as required 
Position Requirements:
  • Knowledge of GM corporate policies and procedures, and processes
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office
  • Knowledge or experience in eSAP
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and apply new knowledge and skills
  • Proficient with emails communication tools
  • Ability to work effectively cross functionally and cross culturally
  • Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask handlings diverse assignments concurrently 
Education and/or Training:
  • College degree or equivalent training required.
    • Prefer an advanced degree in business, engineering, marketing, or finance
  • Work experience and training which provides comprehensive knowledge of the relevant business and planning processes is preferred
