Title: Catia V5 Designer – Plastics Parts / Assemblies from Start to Finish.
Job ID: 18-00655

Location: Ypsilanti area just west of Eastern Michigan University for new upcoming company program in Washtenaw County.
Pay Rate: Open and Highly Competitive

Length: Ongoing work expected for multiple programs.

Position Responsibility:
  • Catia V5 Designer's for Design of many Complex Interior
  • GSD, Sketcher, and Part Design Workbench
  • Conduct packaging / layout studies for start to finish design work on ever part for Interior Plastics for complete new Product Design.
  • Develop updatable parametric CATIA V5 2D Drawings & 3D models using NEW CLIENT specified modeling process
  • Assigned to Develop simple to complex parts, based on ability from start to finish on A & B surface for plastic parts; include manufacturing tool requirements to meet CLIENT standards
  • Prepare 2D drawings as required to define engineering intent
  • Perform mesh modeling of individual parts
  • Design process development
  • Prepare process documentation using Word, Excel or PowerPoint
  • Lead oneself and potentially others in design related activity
Position Requirements
  • Automotive Design Experience in plastics desired and required for Senior level positions.
  • Design Experience will fill jobs for brackets, clips and many other parts with greater challenge and responsibility for those that show strong Design Aptitude.
