Position Responsibilities:
  • Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain R&D equipment including:
  • Chassis, engine and transmission dynos, fans, boilers, compressors, chillers, pumps, exhaust systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
  • Communicate daily with equipment operators, test technicians, and leaders on equipment condition.
  • Conduct, develop, maintain, and continuously improve the preventative maintenance program.
  • Identify spare parts and manage vendor service representatives and contractors as required.
  • Managing the processing of service requests, work orders, and preventative maintenance task in CMMS.
  • Assist with developing maintenance plan at R&D.
    Position Requirements:
    • Excellent writing, communication, listening and comprehension skills.
    • Proficient in CMMS, MS-Excel, Outlook, Power point, and Word (IBM Maximo preferred)
    • Attend all daily maintenance meetings and provide updates on condition of equipment, PM's due and daily assignments
    • Ability to create Job Instruction Sheets and risk analysis for maintenance tasks.
    • Ability to train other maintenance technicians on Job Instructions and risk assessments.
    • Project management and capital project experience preferred.
    • Required to participate in new equipment Kanban's and assist with determining spare part, service and PM requirements.
    • Associate Degree technical field required (Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology)
    • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Maximo preferred)
    • Able and willing to work 10-15% overtime.
    • 5+ years of maintenance experience on industrial equipment such as:
    • Environmental chambers, boilers, compressors, chillers, pumps and exhaust systems, dynos, HVAC units, hydraulic systems, electrical and PLC control systems, variable frequency drives.
