Job Description

Title: Chassis Dyno Technician (2nd shift)
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Pay rate: $21.50/hr - $24.50/hr (depending on experience and skills set)

Type of hire: contract
(Training will be on 1st shift then transfer to 2nd shift later)
Position is 8 hours per day with possible overtime


Summary:
Our client is seeking a Chassis Dyno Technician with 2+ years of automotive technician experience. The ideal candidate will have a background as an advanced level automotive service technician (dealer or independent) with excellent Powertrain knowledge


Responsibilities
  • Test vehicle instrumentation arid operation
  • Installation and removal of test parts Including engine and Transmissions
  • Set up and drive requested drive traces on a chassis dyno working
  • Collect data from testing and report results to Engineering
  • Testing In cold and hot test environments (-40c-50c)

Required minimum education and Experience
  • High School diploma minimum AA degree of trade school preferred
  • 2+ years of automotive technician experience
  • Familiar with chassis dynamometer test cycles (FTP, HWFET, US06) etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
