Job Description

Title: Designer – Tolerance Stack Analyst (18-00118)
Location: Allen Park, MI
Pay Rate: $32 -36.00/hr

Type of hire: Contract
Shift: 1st

Position Responsibility:
  • Complete complex loop method stacks and fastener joint stacks
    • Experience completing variation stacks using Siemens Variation Analysis software is an advantage
  • Maintain close contacts (through WebEx, emails and phone) with assigned customer base to capture design and development.
Position Requirements
  • Proficient and working knowledge in conducting loop method tolerance stacks
  • Proficient and working knowledge in conducting fastener joint tolerance stacks including experience in thread engagement, bearing area calculations, etc.
  • Proficient and working knowledge in the use of the Siemens Variation Analysis software Develop and complete process reports to document results and share with the Engineering and Design team
  • Must possess strong knowledge and experience in at least one premium CAD software package - Unigraphics NX, Catia V5, Pro Engineer
  • Five years minimum experience in completing the above listed stack processes
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and descriptive geometry
  • Strong Analytical skill and dexterity using trigonometry
  • Candidate should possess knowledge and skills in the commodity and be able to resolve and develop feasible solutions using previous experience
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, motivated and works with minimal guidance
  • Proven track record of development of innovative solutions, problem solving, proactive skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, Lead design reviews with various stakeholders to communicate status, issues and next steps
Additional Skills:
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office software
