Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist (18-00074)
Location: Morristown, TN
Base Compensation:

This is a direct position with our client who is one of the world's largest suppliers of automotive interior systems and components including complete seating systems, electronic products and electrical distribution systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Industrial Engineering, or one of the behavioral sciences or the equivalent work experience

Position Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee all safety training programs (Hazcom, LOTO, Fire Ext., Emergency Evacuation, etc.); ensure we comply with TOSHA required training
  • Maintain all OSHA record keeping requirements
  • Implement and manage all aspects of the safety training programs at the Morristown facility, embracing its continuous improvement philosophy, and inculcating it throughout the organization so that all associates accept it as a valuable tool in their daily work life
  • Workers compensation administration ? claims management
  • Promote Team and safety concepts throughout the facility and organization
  • Manages and maintains an adequate and accurate record keeping system for TS16949 training requirements
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Industrial Engineering, or one of the behavioral sciences or the equivalent work experience.
  • Strong communication and 'people skills: required, along with proven problem solving abilities.
  • Experience in a union environment preferred
Skills Preferred:
  • Coordinate and manage employee certification process to ensure training needs are met
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Make recommendations, plans, and suggestions that promote continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Perform required EHS monthly/annual tests
  • Maintain a log of all required safety inspections/test
  • Conduct safety/accident investigations ? Manage the ISO14001 Environmental Management System
  • Other duties as assigned
