Title: Emission Certification Dyno Technician

Position Responsibilities:
  • Set up and remove various passenger vehicles on a chassis dynamometer
  • Input test criteria and vehicle information into dyno controller
  • Conduct Road Load derivations and validate results
  • Drive test vehicles on chassis dyno by following drive traces without errors
  • Operate and monitor emission analyzer equipment
  • Drain and fill fuel tank to specifications
  • Install and remove various emission related parts
  • Track fuel use and maintain inventory
  • Process filters for particular data collection and weighing
  • Operate data acquisition systems as needed
  • Conduct all work safely and without damage to vehicles or facility
  • Perform general shop functions including vehicle maintenance, repair and diagnosis while following safe working guidelines
  • Complete the company's specific drivability evaluation modes
  • Perform any other duties as required such as performing cleaning  
Position Requirements:
  • Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift
  • Associate degree in automotive repair or equivalent experience
  • Hands on experience with engine/vehicle repair
  • Previous chassis dyno driving/operation experience
  • Previous emission bench operation experience
  • Experience with machining / welding
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and off shift when required
  • Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to read manuals and reports and take appropriate action based on instructions
  • ASE certifications a plus

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms
