Position Summary
Responsible for new acquisitions and account management of Client HVAC control heads, sensors, and power modules to OEM and tier-one automotive customers.
 
Position Responsibilities
  1. Identify and execute activities necessary to retain and improve margins for current booked and pending business.
  2. Promote relationship improvements between Client assigned accounts for Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing and corresponding Client functional departments.
  3. Operate within Client policies and procedures for handling commercial responsibilities.
  4. Support and lead, as appropriate, cross-functional project team to assure the completion of customer deliverables.
  5. Lead and support Client strategic planning process and implementation:
  • Develop assigned account strategic plan
  • Lead of business plan preparation for new acquisition targets
  • Lead sales planning process focusing on key customer drivers
  1. Commercial Responsibilities / Skills:
  • Demonstrates the ability to act with a sense of urgency when called upon
  • Change and price management; technology changes, inflation indexing and margin improvement
  • Annual negotiating process
  • Terms and conditions exposure: price breakdowns, recovery of prototype investment, warranty management
  • Demonstrated accomplishments of business wins and resolution of difficult business issues
  • Respect from customer and Client for business acumen
  • Proactively building customer relationships is natural.
  1. Business - Leadership Skills and Capacities:
  • Ability to 'Lead Across” functional areas that deliver Sales objectives
  • Experienced in sorting out complex financial data and present with clarity
  • Present and sell management on key customer objectives and directives
  • Ability to sort ambiguities and get to the real issues
 
Equipment and material used in performing the job:
 
Standard office equipment including; PC, Microsoft XP, (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Project), SAP (priority), and Covisint.
 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in automotive industry with strong performing tier one or two companies supplying automotive electronic related components / sub-assemblies to domestic OEM's.
  • B.S degree in Electrical Engineering or a BA/BS degree in Business
  • Excellent understanding of engineering concepts across a wide spectrum and the ability to effectively match customer's opportunity with Client capability.
  • Technical competence in automotive electronics
  • Proven track record of developing sales strategies, creating and implementation of action plans and monitoring the same
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing a major automotive customer relationship
  • Outstanding commercial aptitude with obvious business acumen
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Solid PC skills including Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Excel, and SAP database
  • Ability to work effectively with various technical levels of individuals and with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Systems and TS 16949 certification requirements
  • Indirect supervision of program assigned cross functional team member
  • Overseas travel for training and sales conferences couple times a year will be required

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms.
