Title:  Haptics & Sensor Researcher
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Pay rate $35/hr - $40/hr

Summary:
Our OEM client is seeking a Haptics & Sensor Researcher. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Mechanical Eng., Robotics, Computer Sci., or related field
Will be responsible for design, scope and drive innovative implementation of state-of-the-art soft robotics, haptics, and sensor technology in the R&D of future vehicle user interfaces
 
Responsibilities
  •  Conduct research to meet key performance indicators (e.g. reports, invention disclosures, and publications)
  • Design, scope and drive innovative implementation of state-of-the-art soft robotics, haptics, and sensor technology in the R&D of future vehicle user interfaces
  • Desire to work with data scientists to propose new research topics related to the utilization
  • of in-vehicle sensor data for new customer value
  • Frequently communicate with a diverse group of scientists and management team
 Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience in the following broad areas:
  • Haptic interfaces
  • Robotics, soft robotics, sensors, and displays
  • Augmented / virtual reality systems
  • Human machine interfaces
  • Control systems for robotics and sensors
 Example skills:
  • Mat lab/Simulink, CIC++, Lab VIEW, CAD experience,
  • Mechatronic System Design, Digital Image Processing
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Eng., Robotics, Computer Sci., or related field  (some industry experience preferred)
  • Conference presentation and/or journal writing experience

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms
