Summary:

Our client is seeking a IT SAP Architect who has possesses experience working in an environment using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
The SAP Architect will have a mix of advanced technology and strategic business acumen. This role requires both broad and deep technical knowledge of SAP. The SAP/ERP Architect role ensures the selected architecture fits existing, planned and external architectures being deployed outside of or along side the ERP.
ERP Architects are aligned with development management and are responsible for implementing software architectures that are consistent within a larger enterprise architecture. In that capacity, the Architect must be able to provide all levels of design needed for the solution (including infrastructure, application, and business), mentor and lead development teams, and occasionally participate in the development of technically challenging portions of the solution.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Analysis and Design
  • Conducts fact gathering sessions with users.
  • Consults with Technical Managers and Business Owners to identify and analyze technology needs and problems.
  • Participates in group application design activities.
  • Performs data flow diagramming and/or process modeling (code architecture).
  • Design all aspects of components based on the specified platform using practices and common patterns, including databases, component layers, user interfaces, web services, and integration patterns.
  • Some development will be required for shared services and components or technically challenging areas where the skills of an architect are needed.
  • Providing senior management with process and design recommendations.
  • Architectural decision-making.
  • Production Support
  • Identify problems and analyze potential solutions including workarounds.
  • Work with other Technology departments on integrated system support, as required.
Administrative
  • Works as a member of a cross-functional, integrated development team.
  • Works with the other technical team members to continually improve implementation strategies, development standards and other departmental processes and documentation.
  • Provides technical assistance and mentoring to lower level Software Engineers.
  • Communicates plans, status and issues to management on a regular basis.
  • Adheres to department standards, policies, procedures and industry best practices.
  • Preferred experience working in an environment using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven SAP Architecture and technical leadership.with a background in development.
  • Technical understanding of SAP BASIS and infrastructure.
  • Thorough understanding of SAP application / technical security and its integration into existing security systems.
  • Technical understanding of SAP applications stack, including FICO, SD, MM, PP, PI, and Hana.
  • Understanding of business process interrelationships between SAP modules.
  • Understanding of Integrating SAP and related non-SAP applications into the existing infrastructure.
  • Ability to partner with domain architects to develop the end to end solution architecture including: application, infrastructure, data, integration and security domains.
  • Ability to deliver end to end solution architecture for all projects in the ERP
  • Participate in vendor RFP's and selection processes.
  • 10 or more years of progressive, broad-based IT experience successfully implementing complex IT applications and/ or developing efficient effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
  • Excellent understanding of deployment strategies for distributed and multi-tiered applications.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and OO development concepts.
  • Strong communication skills within a team environment.
  • Creativity in problem solving.
  • The ability to effectively and efficiently manage and prioritize tasks and the tasks of others.
  • Translate the Business roadmap into architecture/ Technology roadmap, ensuring that Technology balances the short and long-term business needs with short and long term technological realities.
  • Advanced skills in creating process flow diagrams and flowcharts using Visio or similar charting tool.
  • BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration, or related technical field or equivalent experience is required
