Manufacturing Engineer - Cut and Sew Equipment

This is a 2nd Shift  Direct/Permanent Position with a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier in the Adrian, MI area.

Responsibilities include:
  • Support manufacturing equipment and processes (foam molding, cold knife, router, vibration welders, thermoforming, die trim etc.) to support in case of breakdowns or quality issues.
  • Working with Robots, teaching paths (Kuka, ABB, Fanuc)
  • Provide training to department for manual sewing and taping processes, continue certification process that in place
  • Initiate and implement cost savings ideas
  • Track and root cause scrap issues

  • Position Requirements:
    • Associate's degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred or equivalent 3-10 years experience working in a Cut and Sew Environment with a High School Diploma or equivalent. 
    • Ability to perform all aspects of process engineering for sewing and related equipment
    • Able to work any shift, this position is for 2nd shift 
    • Good understanding and/or willingness to learn Cut and Sew equipment and processes
    • Prior experience with Robot programming

    If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms
