Title: Material Planner (18-00420)
Location: Greenville, AL
Base Compensation: $55K-$60K/Year

Position Summary:
The Material Planner is responsible for the daily communication with customers to coordinate the production and shipment to the customer. In addition, they will schedule release of parts from vendors and expedite as necessary to fulfill basic purposes.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Complies with all IATF and ISO14001/EMS requirements.
  • Maintains customer release file.
  • Coordinates information concerning up-coming engineering changes.
  • Reviews customer released requirements.
  • Discusses with the customer the status of released requirements and enters new orders for requested changes.
  • Initiates and follow-up on changes to the shipping schedule.
  • Reviews and reconciles behind schedule report.
  • Provides freight forwarding information to the customer.
  • Provides shipping department instructions on special expedited or premium transportation moves requested by the customer.
  • Maintains premium transportation records in order to determine whether added costs are the responsibility of the company or the customer.
  • Provides service order requirements and status to production and shipping department.
  • Verifies any changes in release orders.
  • Determines future direct material needs by analyzing supply and demand.
  • Initiates requisitions for required components.
  • Assesses responsibility for premium, overtime, and transportation costs, and negotiates acceptance of charge with the supplier and prepares the necessary documentation for approval.
  • Coordinates and expedites with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely delivery and to satisfy the critical customer and/or manufacturing needs.
Position Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years experience in a Materials/Inventory Control function in a manufacturing environment.
  • A two year degree in business or industrial management preferred.

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms
