Shift:       6-day work week with  rotating shifts
 
 
Position Summary:  
Seeking a Plant Superintendent  who will be responsible for ensuring product quality by personnel on all shifts, especially on the off-shift. The ideal candidate will possess high speed manufacturing experience along with  a good understanding of seat manufacturing and
systems.
Will report to Production Manager. Will supervise Production Supervisors.

Position Responsibilities:
  •  Defines, creates and maintains the production schedules based upon demand planning, actual customer demand, internal capacity constraints, and factors affecting schedule compliance.
  • Monitors safety, quality and production.
  • Delegates tasks to department supervisors, monitors attendance, disciplines employees, overtime equalization.
  • Prepares various reports and memos.
  • Communicate with customer and other departments.
  • Maintains safety and housekeeping for plant.
  • Attends meetings.
  • Assists supervisors with process problems and scrap reduction methods.
  • Performs any other duties required in pursuance of the function of this position or as directed by the Production Manager.
  • Reviews all 1st step grievance responses with supervisors.
  • Address 2nd Step grievances with union rep/chair
  • Responsible for ensuring product quality by personnel on all shifts, especially on the off-shift.

Position Requirements:
  • 4- year college Degree
  • High Speed Manufacturing experience
  • Good understanding of seat manufacturing and systems preferred.
  • Management of Salaried Supervisors
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Soft skills- people skills, strong problem-solving skills, ability to deal with ambiguity, high speed/pressure environment
  • Adheres to all corporate and local IATF16949 policies and procedures.

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms.
