Position Summary:
The PLC Programmer is responsible for the integration and debugging of components and systems for the design and build of customized Automation Equipment. This a strong position that requires technical ability in the fields of controls and electrical panel design and is for a motivated individual who enjoys a variety of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a track record in engineering leadership as well as the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-level control strategies for dispensing equipment and automation systems
  • Must have proven experience in PLC logic and programming (preferably Siemens)
  • Design PLC programs specific to customer and project requirements
  • HMI design
  • Machine start up, testing and debugging
  • Documentation of electrical components (i.: schematics, ladder diagrams, etc.)
  • Provide thorough testing of machine functionality to verify PLC program completeness.
  • Work with mechanical and electrical designers to ensure the control system will meet performance, reliability and functionality requirements
  • Inform customer project personnel regarding documentation and advises them on solving technical problems.
  • Work with other members of the control systems design department and other groups to continuously improve methods of integrating controls technology, with the goals being enhanced safety, enhanced functionality, and reduced cost

  • Must have Siemens and ABB experience
  • Must have Custom Equipment/Automation experience
