Title: Process Technician – Plastic Injection Mold
Job ID: 18-00695
Location: Greenville, AL
Pay Rate: $26-$30/hour

Position Summary:
Maintain Steering Wheel Injection Molding equipment and support plant production operations for current and new product models and new product lines. 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists manufacturing supervisors and maintenance in their areas of responsibility ensuring optimum equipment performance for production demands.
  • Anticipates equipment problems, potential and avoidable delays, equipment repairs where feasible, devises and implements procedures to prevent or minimize loss of man hours and schedule interruption.  Optimization of cycle time.
  • Set up and process new plastic injection molds, trouble shoot processes, trouble shoot and resolve robot issues.  Assist maintenance technicians in equipment/mold repair.
  • Keeps the Supervisor Injection Molding informed of difficulties, which require revision of work standards, major repair or replacement of equipment and other circumstances, which affect the operation of the shift.
  • Assists in mold setting which requires safe operation of Overhead Crane equipment and Forklift operation.
  • Assists support staff groups (engineering, tool room, maintenance) to expedite changes in department operations.  Coordinates with Tool room to resolve tooling issues.
  • Set up and maintain equipment to meet all Quality requirements.  Complies with all applicable IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.
  • Reviews efficiencies, variance, labor, scrap, rework and production results to identify opportunities for improvement and to initiate corrective action.
  • Train and assist process technicians as needed.  Analyze flows, layout and workplace safety. 
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum High School Diploma/ GED Equivalent
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Must have specialized skills in Injection Molding/Plastics Processing. 
  • Requires extensive troubleshooting and optimum plastic processing abilities. 
  • Automotive experience a plus.
