Position Summary:
The Program Manager will oversee the Honda/Nissan account for automotive acoustical and textile solutions. We are seeking someone who is willing/available for international travel to Japan, and it is a necessity for them to speak/read/write in Japanese.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the timing, budget, profitability, and quality over multiple programs or platforms
  • Primary interface and meeting facilitator with the customer and team
  • Develop and maintain tooling and equipment plan to support program milestones and plant requirements
  • Drive the planning and implementation of all program activities in accordance with customer milestones
  • Manage product changes, according to flexibility and cost defined/agreed with Engineering, Plant and Sales team members
  • Identify possible program, plan, and budget risks and apply the necessary corrective actions
  • Control, track and report program status throughout the program life using the Prolink system
  • Provide executive management program updates as the lead presenter in Management Gateway Reviews
Position Requirements:
  • Ability to speak/write in Japanese
  • BS/BA in a related field
  • 5-8+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience working with Asian OEM customers required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse internal and external customers
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead and negotiate solutions that balance technical capability, cost, and available time, against the business need
