Title: Quality Engineer (18-00390)
Location: Springfield, OH
Pay Rate: Open

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00AM-3:30PM)

Manager Specifications:
Typical day consists of:
  • Completing standardized work
  • Pulling reports to establish the prioritization of work for the entire team
  • Pull drawings and provide access to GM's system, and interpret them so the QE's can exercise their duties
  • EX: working with chassis, trim, etc.
  • Working through 5-10 different projects at any given time
Position Responsibilities:
  • This will be more of an administrative role. Will be responsible for providing technical administrative support to direct supervisor and team
  • Responsible for accessing all of GM systems and providing assistance to Navistar to navigate them through proprietary GM software
  • Responsible for pulling work orders, translating work orders, and attending meetings where they discuss GM systems
  • Working with other QE (Quality Engineers) to ensure quality of parts, and quality of vehicles. QE's are Navistar employees, this candidate will be responsible for pulling these items and sending to Navistar.
  • Acting as the liaison between Navistar and GM
  • Warranty analysis
  • Working with customer feedback
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree is required in Engineering or a technology field (preferred). Or equivalency work experience (3-5 years of experience in quality)
  • 0 years of professional experience is acceptable with the pairing of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Power Point)
  • Effective communicator. Will be working with all levels of individuals at GM, therefore candidates must have strong communication abilities.
Preferred:
  • Utilize CAD software (highly preferred ? this would help greatly) If candidates are familiar with any version of CAD that is acceptable
  • Engineering Internship or co-op experience in the automotive field
