Title: Quality Engineer (18-00423)
Location: Adrian, MI
Base Compensation: Open and Competitive
Shift: 1st

Position Responsibilities:
  • Participate with launch team on APQP activities
  • Define/determine customer quality requirements on interior parts
  • Interface with team members, suppliers, and customers on a regular basis
  • Review supplier submission packages - 19 point (PPAP)
  • Coordinate customer submission package - 19 point (PPAP)
  • Coordinate product dimensional verification / analysis and provide dimensional information to the customer
  • Qualify good/bad parts and establish standards
  • Drive scrap reduction, develop rework processes, and facilitate containment
  • Drive corrective actions for defects 
 
Position Requirements:
  • Prior proven supplier development experience desired, 3+ years' experience in Quality
  • Extensive problem solving experience; 8D, Shainin, Green/Black Belt
  • Excellent communicational skills
  • Travel when required
  • Ability to learn and navigate through Plex, Covisint
  • Coordinate sort/containment activities when necessary
  • Develop solid relations with supply base
  • Understanding of PPAP procedures/requirements, APQP
  • Knowledge and application of statistics & SPC
  • GD&T and blueprint reading familiarity
  • Formal problem solving experience – 6 sigma, Shainin, etc.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
