Shift: 1st Shift (Must be able to work off shift hours and overtime when needed)
  
 
Managers Specifications:
  • Candidate will be supporting an automotive component manufacturing facility through the Central Quality Department's Problem-Solving Team. This candidate will be self-driven and lead the implementation of improvement projects across the plant. Projects will focus on meeting company's objectives of cost reduction and quality improvement.
 
Position Responsibility:
  • Oversee daily quality control activities for area assigned
  • Establish and meet/exceed organizational objectives and goals in line with plant, divisional and corporate business plans in areas such as PPM's, PPAP reqt's, PR&R's, FTQ
  • Assist in the effective resolution of quality issues thru customer/supplier/support org interaction
  • Interface with production and service areas on technical quality issues
  • Promote and advance quality control initiatives as applicable
  • Adhere to and maintain QS9000/Client/TS16949 requirements for area(s)
  • Effectively interface with supporting disciplines to advance mfg. objectives
  • Perform a central role supporting multiple product lines and functions to achieve compliance to written instructions, procedures, change management, production part approval process, and external audits.
 
Position Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to interpret procedures and quality systems
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts
  • Knowledge of basic math and statistics
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical ability where problems are somewhat complex
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
  • Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required
  • General knowledge of quality control standards and procedures
  • Ability to work off shift hours and overtime
  • Ability to travel to supplier &/or customer location on a limited basis (<10%)
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of common problem-solving methodologies, Six Sigma, Red X, or Shainin
  • RSLogix5000
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes
  • TS16949 / ISO 9001
 
Education and Training:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - ME/EE, in Math/Statistics or equivalent experience
