Position Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer, Advanced Technology Research and Development is responsible for fulfilling the company's product technology requirements through research, concept development and rapid prototyping, while collaborating across the global organization and external partners. Some of the main responsibilities of the position are:
  • PLANNING: Technology Benchmarking. Create future technology strategies based on Benchmarking, company scenario and other automobile industry trend.
  • RESEARCH: Watch and gather any advanced technology information related with future products. Analyze that information and understand the trend. Share collected information with the company.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Lead development activity in cooperation with management to ensure all project milestones are met, including design and quality targets.
  • DESIGN: Create specification based on system requirement and the latest technology trend. Make clear the key issue need to be overcome. Find out and execute appropriate way to achieve the target. Verify the results if meet the expectation.
  • EVALUATION: Planning and preparation of prototype evaluation. Conduct and monitoring product evaluation. Create test plan, execute testing and report the results.
  • NETWORKING: Establish / maintain the strategic relations and timely dialogue with the sources of technology and trend information such as universities, research institutes, industry organizations, consultancies and rapid prototyping experts.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or other related field) or related technical field (Computer Science, Physics or other scientific field)
  • At least 4 years of related professional experience in electromechanical technology engineering such as sensing, sensor fusion, non-contact measurement, etc.
  • Good understanding of emerging electromechanical technologies and rapid prototyping techniques and associated processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with internal and external partners and decision makers
  • Experience and comfort working with expatriate employees for whom English is a second language.

If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms
