Summary:
Our client is seeking a Security Design Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in Development and Security Design.
The objective of this role is to development end to end and comprehensive product security design for the global OEM's organization from a Connected Cars perspective. This role will establish the overall 'to be' program for product security and specify the best practices, standards and principles of design based on which the product team will develop to the specification.

Responsibilities
  • Work independently with developers, system/network administrators, product owners, and other colleagues to ensure secure design, development, and implementation of applications and networks
  • Perform security design reviews of applications, systems, and networks
  • Define security best practices and standards
  • Develop specification for OEM's Connected Car Vehicle Security
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience with an emphasis on secure product development and a working knowledge of security best practices.
  • Experience architecting and implementing systems with security in mind from the onset.
  • Experience performing code reviews both manually and with static analysis tools.
  • Experience developing and deploying applications on either AWS or Azure.
  • Proficient developer (i.e., Python, C#, C++, and Java).
  • Proficient with web framework technologies (i.e., Django or Express)
  • Database design experience (e.g., MongoDB, SQL, Postgres, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization implementations in the cloud.
  • Agile/Scrum experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral skills.
  • Ideal candidate additionally has the following skills:
  • A working knowledge of PKI API interface knowledge (PKCS# 11).
  • Knowledgeable of PowerShell automation for web app/services.
  • Knowledge of the Azure IoT implementation.
  • Experience with the OpenXPKI project.
  • Experience integrating SSL/TLS interface code (i.e., OpenSSL) with X.509 certificates.

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
