Title: Senior Sales Engineer (17-00661)

Position Summary:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities at OE and Tier One Customers for the sale of low, medium and high volume cast, forged and precision machined components and assemblies.

Position Responsibilites:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Identify and assemble appropriate team members from Sales, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Estimating, Program Management, and any other department
  • Coordinate all efforts to secure potential new business opportunities
  • Represent the Client and our Principals in a professional and ethical manner to our customers
  • Be the voice of our customers to all levels of Client and any respective Principals we represent
  • Enter all new business opportunities into our RFQ tracking system
  • Coordinate quoting activities internally and with our Principals to ensure all quotations are submitted to the customer on time
  • Review all new business contracts provided by the customer and ensure that the correct procedures are followed for order processing.
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to travel
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical etc) from four-year college or university and
  • A minimum of 10 years experience related sales, new business development and account management experience in the automotive industry
  • Language Skills ? English. German skills are a plus.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Computer Skills - Knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet (Excel) software, Word, Processing (Microsoft Word) software, Presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint) and email software such as Microsoft Outlook.
Additional Competencies:g
  • Must have knowledge and experience in engine, transmission and driveline cast and machined products (such as cylinder heads, engine blocks, oil pans, front covers, transmission housings, gearbox housings, e-drive systems, axle housings, differential cases/assemblies). Knowledge of foundry processes: High pressure die casting, low pressure casting, sand casting and permanent mold tilt pour. Materials focused on are aluminum, iron, magnesium, forged steel and others.
  • Must have experience in selling similar types of products to OE's and tier one companies such as GM, Ford, FCA, Borg Warner, Bosch, Mahle, Valeo, Denso, ZF-TRW and others. Added benefit if there are off-highway sales and / or commercial engine and truck component/system sales for customers such as Client Truck, Volvo Truck, John Deere, Cummins, Caterpillar etc.
  • Good oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and require little supervision
  • Must be a diligent and self-motivated individual that has the ability to leverage an existing network and also develop new customers within the automotive and commercial truck sectors
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and supplier base.

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
