Our client who is a Tier 1 automotive seating supplier is seeking a Senior Retirement Plan Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess two or more years of experience working with 401k benefit plan administration.
Will be responsible for day to day administration of company's Savings Plans (Hourly and Salaried with varied plan designs)

Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of company's 401K retirement savings plans ensuring accurate and timely plan administration and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Work with recordkeeper and other internal and external groups to monitor, audit and resolve plan, processing and participant issues.
  • Manage multiple vendors to ensure accurate and timely services to plan participants.
  • Engage with other internal groups such as HR, IT and Payroll to resolve processing and/or data issues
  • Interpret plan language and determine corrective action requirements, when necessary.
  • Identify documentation and communication needs, prepare written communications and facilitate distribution as required for legal compliance (plan documents, SPDs, SMMs, etc.).
    Engage with Plant and Division personnel to assist with questions and/or issues relating to retirement savings plans.
  • Review ongoing/necessary reports to ensure accuracy of data transmission from Payroll system.
  • Audit, identify and make necessary corrections to participant data as needed
  • Prepare written communications as needed for all levels of employees to explain plan provisions, IRS, DOL, or PBGC regulations for qualified and non- qualified pension and savings plans.

Desired Skills
  • Two or more years of experience working with 401k benefit plan administration
  • Experience working with union and non-union employee populations
  • Working knowledge of IRS, DOL and PBGC regulations for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans
Position Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge of 401k benefit plan administration
  • Detail-oriented and able to interpret numerical data and legal plan documents
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficient with Word and Excel applications and able to navigate web-based systems.
