This is a long-term contract position with a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier in the Novi, MI area. The department is expanding so the contract could be extended to 1 year, or permanent.

• Support plants in all aspects of production planning.
• Support plants in all aspects of supplier planning and release management.
• Manages and follows up on critical part shortages.
• Manages part allocations globally.
• Completes customer capacity studies.
• Manages supplier capacity studies and inquiries, and communicates results closely with procurement to resolve supplier capacity shortfalls.
• Works with supplier to improve communication and relationships.
• Support plants in regards to service part planning and procurement.
• Assists in inventory management, including inventory reduction and inventory level evaluations.
• Assists in the development of SIOP plans.
• Data extraction and report generation experience within the SAP ERP system

Skills Required:
• WebEDI software SAP system experience
• Five years related management experience – operations, materials, or logistics
• High proficiency Microsoft applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Dbase, PowerPoint
• Manufacturing and logistics operations processes, supply chain physics, MRPII planning systems management, strong analytical and mathematical/statistical skills required
• Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or related technical discipline
