Title: Systems Engineer (18-00011)
Location: Southfield, MI
Pay Rate: up to $50/hr
Type of hire: contract
Length of contract: long term

Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years Systems Engineering experience
Will be responsible for defining and executing hardware/software integration tests, including verification against the company's hardware/software interface spec. (i.e. HITS)

Position Responsibilities:
• Manage system requirements in DOORS.
• Define the key system requirements that are going to drive the system architecture and partitioning.
• Analyze, clarify, specify, and confirm the key requirements of our products in the context of the complete vehicle system/sub-system, including relevant sensors, actuators, power supplies, loads, and networked ECUs.
• Define the electronic hardware architecture for our product(s), including uC and peripheral selection, and further define the allocation of system requirements between hardware and software

Experience Preferred:
• 5 years minimum of Systems Engineering experience
• An emphasis must be placed on identifying, clarifying, and confirming required failure mode behavior, security, functional safety, boundary/limit condition behavior, behavior in non-standard operating conditions, load conditions, etc.

Experience Required:
• Allocate system requirements to the engineering disciplines (hardware, software, and mechanical)
• Track changes to customer requirements and cascade as required Interface with systems engineering team at customer Define test boxes; define or assist in the HIL test development.
• Define and execute hardware/software integration tests, including verification against the company's hardware/software interface spec. (i.e. HITS)
• Knowledge of PM Motor Control is a benefit.
