Shift: 1st Shift
IBM Systems z systems programmer with a solid background in operational support of (1) system level back up and maintenance jobs, and (2) large applications running JCL, COBOL, IMS and DB2 jobs and transactions, and (3) various third party tools and software utilities. In the role, the candidate will examine existing mainframe processes for retirement, refurbishment and replacement, and perform tuning of retained processes.
IBM z/OS systems software in general and specifically:
  • CA CA1 Tape Management utilities
  • CA DB2 tool suite
  • Cobol, Assembler languages
  • Hitachi Disk Data Storage
  • IBM CICS, DB2, IMS, WAS, WebSphere and MQ
  • IBM File Manager suite upgrades, tuning, configuration and troubleshooting
  • IBM Job Control Language (JCL)
  • IBM Mainframe Security (RACF) configuration, management, and troubleshooting
  • IBM Mainframe Storage Management
  • IBM Mainframe Unix System Services configuration, usage, management, and troubleshooting
  • IBM OmegaMon suite upgrades, tuning, configuration and troubleshooting
  • IBM Tape Storage Management
  • IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler
  • IBM TSO command and REXX languages
  • IBM Utilities
  • IBM z/OS Systems software installation, configuration, usage, and troubleshooting
  • Micro Focus ChangeMan
